We’ve received confirmation from Placebo’s promoter that their Plymouth show TOMORROW NIGHT - Friday 20 October 2017 has been CANCELLED.
In a statement they said:
‘Dear fans and ticketholders,
Placebo are very sorry to announce that they will be unable to play their show at Plymouth Pavilions on Friday 20th October. Brian Molko saw a specialist ENT doctor who has confirmed that Brian is suffering from a throat problem which is affecting his vocal chords and he needs treatment and complete rest for the next few days.
Brian says “The band and I are absolutely devastated and very sorry for the disappointment and great inconvenience caused by this unfortunate situation. We really wanted to end our UK tour on a high to give thanks to our fans for your incredible support over the years. It’s very painful being unable to play so many shows and we are so sad to have let you all down."
The band have confirmed that with rest and the appropriate treatment they are still hoping to perform the shows at Brixton Academy on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th October.
We would ask all ticketholders to hold onto their tickets whilst we look into the possibility of rescheduling these dates. Alternatively fans will be able to get a full refund from point of purchase.
Refunds will be available from 10am Monday 23rd October. A further announcement relating to potential rescheduling will be made shortly. ‘
PLYMOUTH PAVILIONS WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENT OR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.
WE WILL KEEP OUR CUSTOMERS UPDATED REGARDING A POTENTIAL RESCHEDULE DATE.
